ZW 2- Change

Change, especially when it was most needed, was seldom easy. Zuko would know that better than most.

The change in his family resulting from the death of his grandfather and his mother's disappearance.

The change in his Uncle after the loss of Lu Ten.

The change in circumstances caused by his innocent desire to save lives.

Changing himself into the man he was today.


None of those were easy.


Zuko looked across the room at the woman who had agreed to become his wife almost three years before. Amber eyes warmed as she laughed at her brother trying to argue his way out of the mess he'd gotten into with his own wife.  Those eyes drifted over her blue-clad form, her still-trim waist.


Ah, but some change, he decided as a surge of protectiveness raced through him; some change was good.
