Seeing the commotion on the pier, the crew of the small Fire Nation ship readied itself for anything. Somehow, Lt. Jee didn’t seem surprised when, from the madness of the brawl that had broken out, two figures broke away and ran straight for the ship. He was, however, slightly taken aback when about half of the brawlers followed them.

He just didn’t expect quite so many.

The two men- one short and rotund, the other taller and fairly dragging the other along behind him- dove onto the ship’s lowered prow and shouted at him to draw it up. The order was unneeded; it was already rising from the pier and in seconds, the ship was under way.

The two men still lay where they had collapsed, bodies aching, chests heaving. The younger rolled over, groaned, and finally got to his feet. Still, none dared approach him- the glower on his face was directed at the older man, who had at least risen to a seated position.

“I can’t believe it! They dared to attack me?!

“Prince Zuko, I warned you. Some towns in the Earth Kingdom do not take too kindly to threats.”

“Still, that teamaker didn’t need to call the whole town down on us like a couple of thieves!”

Fuming, Zuko took only two steps towards his quarters when his own words sunk into his tired mind. His head turned slowly back to watch his Uncle, who looked somewhat pleased with himself. Zuko groaned.

“Uncle.”

“Yes, Prince Zuko?”

“Tell me you didn’t risk all our lives and steal any tea from that man’s shop.”

Silence.

“UNCLE!!!”

“But Zuko! He had the flowers of the White Jade!”
